About Nature Grove Child Care Agency
Nature Grove Child Care Agency was created from a desire to offer families a more personal, home-based child care option with the structure and accountability of a licensed agency. Headquartered in Barrie, we are currently completing the Ontario Ministry of Education licensing process and preparing for future CWELCC participation, subject to approval and funding availability. We are currently pre-operational and look forward to sharing our journey with you.
Our foundation and inspiration
Our background in early childhood education and home child care has demonstrated how vital strong relationships, consistent caregivers, transparent communication, and nurturing home spaces are for young children and their families. Nature Grove is being built on these core principles, maintaining an uncompromising commitment to safety, program quality, provider support, and child-centred learning guided by Ontario's "How Does Learning Happen?" framework. While pre-operational, we are laying diligent groundwork to support thriving early learning environments.
Our core values
Nature Grove is founded upon four essential pillars: Safety, Trust, Connection, and Growth. Safety means establishing regulated home settings with thorough supervision, rigorous standards, and continuous agency oversight. Trust is cultivated through transparent and dependable communication with families and providers. Connection nurtures lasting bonds among children, caregivers, and our local communities. Growth encourages children to explore, play, engage with nature, and build everyday confidence and independence within warm, family-focused spaces.
Serving Barrie, Simcoe County, and beyond
While based in Barrie, Nature Grove is designed to expand access to licensed home child care across Simcoe County and other Ontario regions where local need exists and CWELCC funding is allocated. We hope to fill an essential gap for parents seeking a smaller, relationship-focused alternative to centre-based care. Interested families and future home child care providers are welcome to reach out to stay informed as our licensing progresses. Please note that joining our interest list does not guarantee care spaces, agreements, or funding.
